They are selling you a vibe. We are building an empire.

Talking with the ancestors.
Talking with the ancestors.

Pull up a chair, honey. We need to talk.

The air in our Digital Kitchen smells like hot combs on Sunday morning and cornbread that's about to come out perfect. This is where we get real, where we plot, and where we get ourselves ready for whatever's waiting outside that door. And right now? We gotta talk about this whole AI situation that everybody swears is gonna save us all.

You've been hearing about "vibe coding," right? The tech folks are pushing it hard telling us we don't need to be computer wizards anymore. Just whisper what you want to the machine: "Make me an app that hugs new mamas and connects them with everything they need," and boom the AI fairy godmother makes it happen.

Sounds good, doesn't it? For a hot minute, you're thinking, "Finally! I can get in this game without drowning in student loans or learning to speak Computer."

But I'm about to serve you some truth, and it's scalding hot. That pretty story? It's designed to shipwreck us. And if we're not paying attention, it's gonna take a whole generation of brilliant Black women down with it.

The Pretty Little Trap

Don't get me wrong vibe coding can work. It's like having a really good knife set. But owning fancy knives doesn't make you a chef if you never learned how to actually cook.

The real problem is it makes us dependent. You skip learning how the stove works, so when that AI-generated code starts acting up (and it will), or when you need to turn your brilliant idea into something real and secure that can actually make money, you're stuck. You've got half a recipe and no clue how to fix it.

This has nothing to do with how smart you are. Don't you dare let anybody question that. You come from women who could stretch five dollars into a feast and turn a look into a whole strategy. Your mind is the most powerful technology you'll ever own.

This is about access. About how they pushed us out of STEM and made us feel like we didn't belong there. So now when they dangle a shortcut, it feels like salvation. But what good is getting into the house if they don't give you keys to all the rooms?

Our Recipe for Revolution

This isn't a pity party. We don't do those here. This is where we roll up our sleeves and cook up something so powerful it changes everything. Here's our recipe for not just riding this AI wave, but creating the whole ocean.

Course 1: Master Your Kitchen (Know Your Tools)

Before you bake anything, you learn what's in your kitchen. We're getting comfortable with the basics, and I mean unapologetically comfortable.

The Plan: We're starting our own learning circles. "Tech Tea Parties" where we break down everything from cloud storage to data literacy. We'll learn APIs like we learn new seasonings. Tech language is about to become our second language.

Course 2: Learn the Science Behind the Flavor (Get Strategic)

A real cook knows not just what to add, but why she's adding it. We're going way past the vibes and getting into the science.

The Plan: We're mastering prompt engineering, the art of making AI do exactly what we want it to do. We're learning AI ethics so we can be the ones keeping this technology in check. We're understanding the data so we can boss the AI around instead of begging it for help.

Course 3: The Family Potluck (Build Community)

Nobody ever cooked Thanksgiving dinner by themselves. Success is a potluck when everybody brings something.

The Plan: The Digital Kitchen is our network. We're building mentorship squads, connecting women who've walked this path with those just starting out. This is where you bring your "stupid" questions, your brilliant ideas, your frustrations, and your wins. We're going to be each other's champions and accountability partners.

Course 4: Your Secret Sauce (Use What Makes You Different)

Our lived experience is exactly what this tech industry is missing. It's our superpower. The way we see the world, the problems we know intimately—that's pure innovation waiting to happen.

The Plan: We're using these tools to solve our problems. Building apps that lift up Black-owned businesses, protect Black maternal health, preserve our culture. Your perspective isn't a "soft skill"... it's worth billions.

The Benediction

Look at me. You have everything you need to win. Your grandmother's spirit, the one who made a way out of no way, runs through your blood. That resilience, that creativity, that unshakeable faith? That's your inheritance.

This AI revolution isn't happening without us. We're not the jobs getting automated away. We're not the customers getting played. We're the architects. The strategists. The visionaries. The owners.

They're selling vibes. But in this kitchen? We're building empires. One line of code, one brilliant idea, one empowered sister at a time.

Now go build something.
